Situated high in the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens at Mount Tomah, The Potager has beautiful sweeping views from inside and out.
The menu is based around fresh local produce with some dishes available as gluten-free alternatives and other dishes suitable for vegan or vegetarian diets. Children's meals cost $9.50 and are served with a side of chips. Breakfast is available from 9 am to 11:15 am on weekends.
The food is delicious but definitely not an economical option for lunch. The potager pot pie ($25) contained a middle eastern spiced braised lamb shoulder and was accompanied with sumac dusted roasted potatoes but was quite a small serving. The spiced pumpkin soup ($16) was tasty and a good option for the cold winter day. The coffee was smooth and well made and is also available as take-away.
The venue is fully licensed and offers catering packages for events such as birthdays, engagements and weddings.
Sun yourself on the wisteria-covered terrace and soak up the views of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area whilst enjoying a drink and something to eat.
