Don't let the flowers in your garden go to waste. Learn to transform them into aromatic, long lasting pot pourri that's kinder to the environment. This ancient craft that uses flowers and leaves to perfume the home has evolved since moist pot pourri was made by salting petals in large crocks till they dried out. Curing them with herbs and spices made for a subtle perfume that was long lasting. However, its appearance was less attractive than that of dried pot pourri.

Learn how to transform your garden blooms with the addition of salt on Saturday 24 March 2018 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Head to the Plant Craft Cottage, RBGV (Royal Botanical Gardens Victoria), Melbourne Gardens near H Gate at 100 Birdwood Avenue, Melbourne. Tickets are $30 for friends members and $45 for non members. All materials will be provided. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL , and closes on Monday 18 March, so get in now! For all enquiries, call (03) 9650 6398.
