The Posie Project almost defies description. Before you enter, you notice a couple of small tables under the veranda and people enjoying an alfresco coffee.

First sighting.
"Beaut," I think, "I'm in the mood for a coffee." The mood changes to surprise when I enter and see it's not a café. What I see is an Aladdin's cave with a huge range of everything.

A magnificent sight.
I see display shelving along each wall and centre tables containing; you name it. It's hard to describe the merchandise as almost every item is different.

Wall shelves full of almost everything.
If you are looking for a present for someone who thinks they have everything, this is the place to surprise them. I particularly like a small display with playing cards in a tin, a cheese and wine set and a puncture repair kit.

More items, including the puncture repair kit.
There was a rack of dresses for very young ladies and a couple of teddies for those even younger. To go with any gifts you purchase is a small range of unique cards.

For the very young.
The ambience of Posie is a warm feeling no doubt brought about by the overall pink theme of the décor.

Pink is everywhere.
As I near the back of the shop I spy a coffee machine. It is a café, albeit a small one, but a café in delightful surroundings.

Ah! Coffee.
Soon Megan is baristing my coffee which was most enjoyable.

Megan making my coffee. Even the coffee machine is pink.
The food available is more snacks than large meals, but is a perfect adjunct to your coffee.

Some of the available snacks.
Looking back from the rear of the shop I notice two small tables, pink of course, next to the front window.

Looking back.
Owner of the Posie Project, Shannon explained, "Originally we sold posies of dried flower arrangements, but when covid hit we added a café to be able to remain open, providing takeaway coffee and snacks."

More merchandise.
They are open every day except Sunday, during normal coffee-drinking hours.

Opening hours.
Posie Project is at the end of the Montrose shopping strip, on the corner of Devenish Avenue. A clever innovation is an opening and counter for takeaways, a couple of small tables, and a small street library.

The take-away outlet.
If you are near the Montrose shopping strip visit the Posie Project for a quiet coffee and snack and peruse the bountiful display merchandise. You won't be disappointed with either.
