A Pop Up at Adelaide's favourite port
Yesterday Porties Pop Up, the newest funkiest venue at Port Noarlunga, had their first market ever, so keep your eyes on their events as they will keep popping up with more events in your local Southern area.
Porties Pop Up is located on the historic Saltfleet Street in Port Noarlunga. The venue itself is an empty block of land which has been cleverly adapted to host a variety of private functions, markets and other leisure activities. It features a bar area made from recycled materials and succulents and a big open grass area.
Sunday the 27th of November from 9am to 1pm, Porties PopUp hosted their first market ever, and what a success it was! There was a great variety of stalls and passionate local makers offering clothing, plants, succulent art, vintage wares, natural soaps, beard oils, crochet wares and wooden beads. There was also chilled music and coastal vibes and locals and tourists came and went throughout the day. People were getting a bit of shopping done before an afternoon swim, or browsing after lazing at the beach all morning.
This venue supports local produce and is also committed to not "taking" business from local establishments, so you may have noticed there were no food or coffee vans at the event. This is in order to keep a relaxed atmosphere and collaborate with nearby eateries rather than compete against them. It may have been slightly inconvenient but there is plenty of great food and drinks steps away at Agatha's Cafe and The Fleurieu Pantry just to name a couple of eateries.
No Worry Beads
