The City of Greater Geelong has an abundance of charm and places to delight - and the Bellarine Peninsula is a gem that must be discovered and explored!
Geelong is an easy hour's drive from Melbourne and well worth a day trip. The Bellarine begins about twenty minutes out of Geelong CBD and it's beauty will increasingly enthral you the further you go.
About forty minutes down the road you will signs leading you to Portarlington.
Turning off and following the roads to this delightful town will make for a gorgeous day out.
Do your taste buds a favour and they will thank you for days to come. The Portarlington Bakehouse Cafe is a hidden delight of this quaint seaside town.
Take a stroll along the Port waterfront and meander down the pier to absorb the breathtaking views. Across the bay the You Yangs mountain range will put a humble smile on your face as you cast your eyes upon the seemingly endless water views.
Take a play on the park, explore the grasslands and the maritime monuments and before you know it your hunger will guide you across the road to this cafe.

Take a seat out the front and watch the locals and tourists wander by with their families, friends, or four-legged pets. Sitting inside will put you in the middle of the always busy cafe.
