The locally owned and operated business is now just one of 12 restaurants in Brisbane to offer the exclusive beer selection.

Owner and Executive Chef Adrian Chrisanthou said there's a definite gap in Australian dining when it comes to craft beer ranges.

"People are only just starting to realize that many craft beers are actually better value while also being better quality."

Prior to releasing the new drink menu, Adrian said he looked at some of the most successful restaurant concepts from around Brisbane, Australia and overseas as inspiration before creating his own version.

"I saw what they did well and also what they didn't," he said.

"My vision for Portabella is that it will be a well loved and warm for guests place to dine. A place where people can come together over a good meal made with love and ultimately, a place where our passion will shine through."

The team of chefs, bar staff and baristas come to Brisbane with experience from all around the world.

"We have a fantastic team of seasoned professionals with experiences from all over the world. As a small business owner, I am particularly invested in having chefs who share my love and passion for good food."

Adrian admits he has taken a gamble by introducing an exclusive craft beer menu into the suburbs but is excited for the new option this now brings to Northsiders.

"I want to provide fine dining for locals. It's that simple. People no longer have to travel into the city where parking is limited and taxi fares are costly. You can get it all here for less."

In addition to bottled craft beers, Portabella has four rotating craft beer taps, which are changed three times a week. The bar also features 15 varieties of single malt whiskey, 8 varieties of Vodka and Tequila and an extensive local and international wine list.

"Portabella is a mix of quality fresh foods with the newly added bonus of a unique bar experience. Our recent renovations have allowed our kitchen to double in size and capacity, which means we can deliver even more to our local guests, in less time."

Portabella is open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Sunday.
