A number of years ago a close family friend suggested that we try the fish and chips shop on the Wharf at Port Albert. Ever since, whenever we have time, my family and I drive to Port Albert to order fish and chips and eat on the pier, watching all the boats.



In all the years that I have visited the shop, I have never been disappointed in the fish and chips here. It always comes quickly, and is piping hot! This month when we went, the guy serving us said to come back in ten minutes and sure enough, the fish and chips were ready!



Although it's not just how quickly the food is ready that I love, I also love the quality of the food. The fish is of a generous size and it always tastes fresh with a lovely batter, enhancing the flavour of the fish. Accompanying the delicious fish are the crunchy chips and potato cakes, which are always cooked just right, and are just the right size.

With so many good things going for it, I can't wait for my next visit to Victoria and the Wharf Fish and Chip shop!
