Don't miss this spectacular Valentine's show featuring the Queensland Pops Big Band with special guest artists Adam Lopez and Deborah O'Toole.
The 'Valentine's Night Out' will take place on Saturday 11th of February, 2017 at the elegant and historic Tivoli Theatre and showcase timeless music by the swing greats Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington, with a splash of Michael Buble and Latin passion.
The fun will commence at 6pm with a FREE swing dance lesson before the concert event. Instructors from Corner Pocket Swing will teach guests some easy steps so they can take to the dance floor with flair.
Then get ready for a memorable night of great music steeped in atmosphere and nostalgia, under the baton of maestro Patrick Pickett CSM, backed by the Queensland Pops Big Band.
Enjoy the Latin rhythms of one of Australia's top entertainment talents, Adam Lopez. The opera-trained singer is the two-time Guinness World Record Holder for singing the highest vocal note by a male singer! This achievement has astounded audiences from all around the world, leading Lopez to perform and appear on international television and radio stations in Japan, Spain, Italy, Korea, Hong Kong and the USA. Today, Adam Lopez remains a highly sought after International artist and continues songwriting and recording and of course, his undeniable love of performing.
Deborah O'Toole first performed with the Queensland Pops Orchestra in the 2015 concert "With Honour We Serve", where she won the hearts of the audience with her performance. She also lived out a childhood dream of singing with the great jazz pianist Joe Chindamo in "Come Swing Again".
The dance floor will be open during the evening for guests to swing, dance or tango to their heart's content!
