Listen closely, im about to let you in on a secret....

My favourite place for lunch when I'm in the city is Poppos, a little Japanese/Korean restaurant up the train station end of Barrack St, opposite Taka's.

Why am I so loyal? Well, the fact that the lunch specials are so cheap and yet pretty healthy helps, plus the complimentary tea, side serves of pickles and miso soup is pretty great too.

For vegetarians, or just those who like a hearty meal, the mild vegie curry at $6.50 is an absolute bargain, and comes with steamed rice, yummy sweet sour pickles, miso soup and unlimited hot tea.

There are other lunch specials including sushi, sashimi, tempura and heaps of other favourites. Service is very fast and friendly.
