The winner of the SA Tourism Award in 1988 and recognised as the first State Heritage Icon in 2011, The Popeye is a South Australian icon.

Named after Elzie Crisler Segar character of the same name, a trip aboard The Popeye is a wonderful way for family and friends to enjoy the calm waters of the River Torrens.

There are a variety of ways to experience The Popeye;
-You can enjoy a leisurely 40 minute round trip along the Torrens River and cruise alongside the ducks and swans and other wildlife.
-Or you can choose to use The Popeye as a shuttle service and enjoy a memorable trip to the Adelaide Zoo or Botanic Gardens.
-Or use The Popeye as your own private venue to watch the Skyshow or enjoy the Symphony Under the Stars.

Plus as the vessels have recently had an complete interior makeover, including a brand new sound system, The Popeye is now also perfect for a range of corporate events and special celebrations.

The Popeye team can put together a package to suit your needs - they can cater for gatherings big and small (the vessels can accommodate up to 70 people) and as the vessels each have a dining area and dance floor, a range of functions can be held - from high tea events, to small work or club gatherings, to lavish birthday parties with the city lights as a backdrop.

Open every day (weather permitting) 10am to 4pm except Christmas Day - The Popeye team are soon to introduce sunset cruises this Summer. Their paddle boats are also a great attraction in the warmer months!
