The State Library Victoria is expanding into the pop-up territory for two session in January 2019. In partnership with MPavilion, they will be presenting storytime sessions for kids on January 22nd and 31st, 2019. These sessions are not just stories but songs, rhymes and creative activities that will keep their young audience delighted. The sessions are divided into 2 different age groups and children must be accompanied by an adult:
Tuesday 22 January (FOR AGES 5–8) 4–5PM
Thursday 31 January (FOR AGES 0–5) 10.30–11.30AM
The MPavilion, in case you have not heard or visited, is an ongoing series of architecture commissions initiated in 2014 by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation and supported by City of Melbourne. It's an innovative civic space and a place for people to meet, learn and engage with ideas and design. From October to February each year MPavilion becomes the focus of a free four-month program of cultural events and interventions, lively talks, performances, workshops, installations, and gatherings.
The 2018 MPavilion is located in the Queen Victoria Gardens, opposite the Arts Centre on St Kilda Road, Melbourne. There is also the MPavilion Kiosk to ensure you remain hydrated and fed on your visit.
