As a part of the Queensland Poetry Festival, La Boite Theatre is hosting a free pop-up Poetry Slam this Saturday, February 15th. Poet extraordinaire Loki Liddle from the Gold Coast will battle it out with Huda Fadlelmawla in some quick-witted phrasing, snippy wording for all to giggle at, nod in agreement, raise an eyebrow or two for forty-five minutes.

To get you into the weekend mood and blow off any woes, the kind people at La Boite are throwing in discounted wine and beer at La Boite Bar during the slam. If this doesn't entice you to grab your keys for an entertaining Saturday night in the burbs, then check out The Neighbourhood, the latest production at La Boite Theatre. The Pop-Up Slam kicks off at 6pm for forty-five minutes prior to the start of The Neighbourhood, starring seven local storytellers. If you want to check out The Neighbourhood, discounted tickets are available, with further information available on their Facebook page. For further information about The Neighbourhood visit
