Before the Paniyiri Greek Festival kicks off next weekend, head to the Paniyiri Pop Up event at Reddacliff Place for a sneak peak.


This free event, presented by Brisbane Marketing and the Greek Orthodox Community of St George Brisbane, will take place on Friday, May 11 from 4pm until 9pm.

Reddacliff Place in the city will be transformed into The Plaka (Athens) for a great Greek evening. Listen to live bouzouki music, drink Greek beer and wine, and sample some fantastic food like souvlakia, yiros, haloumi, and honey puffs.

Entertainment includes Paniyiri's own characters Herc and Xena, Brisbane's Hellenic Dancers, the Cypriot Community of Queensland dancers, children's activities, and a honey puff eating contest.

Don't miss the Zorba Dance demonstrations and lessons. Then try out your new moves at the World's Longest Zorba Guiness World Record attempt at the Paniyiri Greek Festival next weekend.
