'%%If you go down to the beach today you're sure of a big surprise.
If you go down to the beach today you won't believe your eyes.
For lots of children from Sydney will be
At Coogee Beach with wonder and glee
For the whimsical, wonderful, travelling LEGO Forest%%.'

The life-sized LEGO Forest , made famous by its sudden and magical appearance in Sydney's Martin Place last April, was the first event of Australia's nine-month celebration of all things LEGO, The Festival of Play . The forest entranced and amused kids and kids-at-heart, a bright spark in the inclement April weather. It then quietly disappeared, only to pop up in an even more unlikely place in July when Broken Hill's red dust gave birth to the vivid green, yellow, white and red forest and flowers for a colourful two-week season.

Now for six days only the forest returns to Sydney, this time adorning Coogee Beach's Dunningham Reserve, and this will definitely be Sydney's last chance to see the scaled-up version of these bright and famous creations. The display includes fifteen LEGO pine trees and a number of flower sets, all at 66 times the size of the ones you would normally be tripping over at home after the kids have finished their creative handiwork. You'll feel like something out of a Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale as you explore Coogee Beach's northern headland in the spring shade of those telltale trees and fantastical flowers.
