My friend Christine Bouma is exhibiting some of her art work at a Pop Up Gallery & Studio Portarlington, at the Portarlington Gallery and Studio, Geelong. I am so proud of her.
Chris has been doing ceramics for a while now, and does some amazing work. Chris is very excited that her work will be on display at the Pop Up Gallery Portarlington from November 16th until November 29th. I am excited too and can't wait to go out to Portarlington to look at her work on display.
The Geelong Potters will be displaying their finest ceramic art to the community at their annual exhibition. The Geelong Potters Annual Exhibition will be held from the 16th to the 30th November from 10.30am to 5.30pm. The exhibition is a Pop-Up Gallery being held at Portarlington Gallery and Studio.
The Geelong Potters aim to promote pottery in the Geelong region, and aim to encourage people in the community to embark on the great pottery adventure.
A pop-up store is a temporary store at a designated venue. The purpose of the pop-up store is to attract consumers with something exclusive, and to gain exposure to create an impact and communicate something to a large audience.
Pop-up retail, also known as pop-up stores or pop-up shops or flash retailing, is a trend of opening short term sales spaces in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Just Do It
When I write pages for Weekend Notes I get my inspiration from What's On pages, newspaper advertisements, facebook, and generally from keeping an ear to the ground, knowing about events or hearing about events on the radio. I found my inspiration for this article on facebook, on Christine Bouma's facebook page and from the Portarlington Gallery and Studio facebook page.
Please leave comments, photos or ideas if you visit any of the places on my Weekend Notes pages.
