Shopping is always hard, hungry work - especially when you're trawling a centre as large as Westfield Doncaster (a.k.a Shoppingtown). So a new way to fuel my retail obsession is always welcome.

For two weeks beginning 20 October 2014, Doncaster shoppers can indulge in a petite sample of Paris, or more accurately, the upcoming Paris to Provence Melbourne French Festival , which will run from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 November 2014, at the beautiful Como House & Garden in South Yarra.

Follow your nose to the ground floor of Westfield Doncaster at the foot of the escalators, and you'll discover a delightful pop-up creperie, staffed by a small, friendly team dressed in classic French hues of red, white and blue. Take a moment to peruse the menu - which includes sweet and savoury options such as braised leek with garlic, white wine and cheese, salted caramel and lime & coconut. Yum!

Alongside the crepe stand is an information booth offering all the details you could want about the Melbourne French Festival, as well as the opportunity to pre-purchase tickets to this popular family event. The festival promises to be just as good - if not better - than it has been in previous years, presenting a host of fun for the kids (including art classes, story time and play dough) and adults ( patisserie and champagne masterclasses , music, market stalls and cooking demonstrations).

Whatever your taste buds fancy, don't delay - for the pop-up crepes will say 'au revoir' on 2 November 2014. Bon appetit!
