This coming Saturday (July 7th) get yourself down to The Industrial School at the Abbotsford Convent for the Pop M'art Charity Auction.

Started 3 months ago as a mobile 'pop-up' arts studio, participants from all walks of life have painted various scenes in and around Melbourne. Upon registering with Pop M'art, individuals are given a location around the city to turn up and paint at. From parks to museums, people have turned up at many different locations around Melbourne to paint.

During the 3 months Pop M'art has been running, over 200 separate pieces of art have been produced, and this Saturday is the grand auction. Doors open at 6pm and this gives you the opportunity to view the artwork before the auction begins at 8pm. There is also a guest appearance from Australian artist Matthew Quick, who will be curating the event and also exhibiting some of his own artwork. All proceeds from the auction go to the Starlight Children's Foundation of Australia.
