Coffee and craft beer with a dash of culture
Looking for something a bit different to finish the working week? Brisbane based visual artist, Rachel Gardner, presents portraits of pop culture icons who have influenced her during different times of her life.
What is pop culture? Defined as cultural activities or commercial products reflecting, suited to, or aimed at the tastes of the general masses of people, it is important to note that it is an unavoidable presence in our society. There are times that you unaware that you are even soaking up its presence.
Gardner's artwork will encourage you to consider influences within your own life and being displayed at Reverends Cafe and Bar, you will be able to wash down those deep and meaningful thoughts with a coffee or a craft beer. Maybe even a wine or cocktail.
Reverends Bar and Cafe is situated at 372 Brunswick Street, Brisbane. Burgers and bagels are the house speciality.
The artwork will be on display on Friday, 10th August, between 6pm and 10pm and entry is free. In most instances, the pieces are identified by their first name only as the artist considers them as "old friends".
