For two years, the Pony Espresso Cafe has served warmth, flavoursome coffees and enticing cabinet selections in the Toowoomba city.

With a feel of the American old west combined with French cafe, the music encourages the customer to settle in and relax. Old time dance music, or perhaps Frank Sinatra enhance the calming atmosphere. The lounge is extremely comfy.

On offer is an enticing and healthy cabinet full of salads, sweets and other delicious meals and snacks. Plus there's artisan sodas, spiders and an array of coffees including 'Bullet Proof'. This exotic number contains a well-balanced blend of coconut milk and butter with a light froth, sans moo. The bagel dough hasn't been made too airy and is overflowing with tempting fillings.

Soda selections are with a difference, such as portello, sarsaparilla, mandarin or pink lemonade. Milkshakes are a feature with ten flavours to choose from, including musk and custard.

In an effort to be different and creative, the owner named the cafe 'Pony Espresso' because of the constant foot-traffic outside, ie the 'pony trail'. That expanded into an old west motif. It's only one hundred metres from the bus station, so for the weary traveller who wants to avoid the 'eat street' crowd, this place is a haven. And there's plenty of room for your suitcases, if dining al fresco.

Magazines are available for singles. Kids are welcome, but there are no high-chairs. Non-GF.
