The Point Lonsdale Foreshore Reserve is a beautiful reserve located along the beach side of Point Lonsdale Road. While the main playground at the Admans Street end is well known and popular, there is also a small playground and barbecue area located opposite the turn-off to Loch Street, just before the main shopping strip.
The Playground appears well-suited to younger children and has a small range of play equipment, including a slide, swingset with two swings, and bouncer.
The beach is only a short distance away, as are the shops, which include an IGA supermarket, cafes and takeaway shops.
If you're keen to explore other parts of the reserve, the playground at the Admans Street end of the reserve is very popular and offers a more extensive range of play equipment. There are also public toilets located there.
Further along the road - just over 1km from Loch Street - is the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse, which is also a nice place to go for a walk. For those who want to take a look inside the lighthouse, tours operate on Sundays from 9:30am until early afternoon - check out the official website for more information.
Extra Information: Shade/Shelter: The playground does not have any shade or shelter covering it, however the barbecue area and some of the picnic tables are undercover.
This undercover picnic table is located between the playground and beach, and has great views.
