Poetry by the War Poets to honour those who have fallen in war has been organised by the
City of Tea Tree Gully Library and
North Eastern Writers' Inc. The program is part of the
The Tea Tree Gully Poetry Festival 2013 and is supported by the
Tea Tree Gully RSL.

Weaponry
The program will include poems written by UK War Poets
Sigfried Sassoon and
Wilfred Owen, and poems by Australian War Poets. The theme of the recital will be
In Memory of those who have fallen in war, honouring also Indigenous Australians and New Guineans (Fuzzie Wuzzie Angels) and will remember how war affects everybody.
Following the recital there will be a special exhibition by Internationally renowned Adelaide Military Artist,
Barry Spicer on display. Barry 's main focus is painting military subjects. His inspiration was initiated when at the age of 6, he saw the deadly aeroplanes in the movie "The Battle of Britain." His interest in drawing immediately changed to drawing aircraft and anything that flies. Today, his art work includes drawings and oil paintings and is of such a high standard he has won numerous commissions.

Barry Spicer - "Field Research".
If the weather is suitable this event will be held in the Tea Tree Gully Memorial Gardens. However, in the case of rain it will be relocated to the Tea Tree Gully Community Hall, and Barry's display will be available for viewing at the Tea Tree Gully RSL Club Rooms Memorial Drive, Tea Tree Gully.
