Alcoholic clocks? Yes, please
Among the new trends circulating the world today is upcycling. Most of the world have heard of and probably practice recycling already. But what is upcycling? This is where new uses are found for old or used items. It is amazing what one can make out of old materials. People are constantly looking for different ways to recycle or reuse materials every other day. And why shouldn't they? We are after all, doing this in the name of conservation - helping Mother Nature.

The ladies at Poco-a-poco Glass Art have found their own way to help the planet. By creating new products out of glass bottles, they provide consumers with a unique product that also helps the environment. Poco-A-Poco's artists' dedication to this craft is apparent in the manner of which they explain their handiwork to interested passersby.

Glass Bottle Clocks

Starting off by carefully peeling off the labels and keeping them aside, they then heat the bottles and shape them before boring a hole through the middle to make place for the clockwork. Finally, they reattach the label and get the mechanism in place. All in all, it is a spectacular new product that seems to require endless patience.

In addition to their unique clocks, the ladies also make cheese and sake platters, as well as ladle holders. These charming products would look lovely in any home, giving it a quaint (or rustic - depending on your choice of product) vibe.

Unique miniature dishes are made out of glass bottles that have been cut into squares and shaped, making them perfect door gifts or as presents for the men.

While they have clocks of many varieties, the ladies are only too happy to oblige you by making a clock out of your bottle of choice. All you have to do is provide them with the bottle. This would be a good reason to have a couple of drinks with some friends, if you catch my drift.

Your Comment
I've seen things like this before. Usually as coasters or dishes. Never seen clocks though.
