Plympton Park Oval is a large oval and playground in the suburb of Plympton Park. It is a great place to visit if you're looking for somewhere that the kids can freely play spots. Head along here with the family to have a play, or visit on the weekend to try and catch a sports match.

The large oval at Plympton Park is great for playing ball games. There is loads of room, so you could easily have a friendly match of footy or soccer. If you're feeling a bit more serious, this is a full time oval, so you'd easily be able to get some actual practice in. The Oval is home to the Plympton Bulldogs, and so if you're lucky you might even be able to catch a game here. To find out whether there are any organised sporting events on, check out the website for the Plympton Sporting and Recreation Club website.

Bear in mind that when there are organised sporting events, dogs must be kept on leashes. At other times they are able to run around the oval off their leash. Due to the sporting events, the grass is also not in a great condition. This means that this probably isn't the best place to have a picnic, as there aren't picnic tables and you wouldn't really want to set up a blanket on the grass.

Kids will keep themselves entertained at the park on the available playground. There are climbing frames, slides, swings, and monkey bars. All of the things that children will enjoy. They'll also love being able to run around the oval. They can play on the playground while you watch some sport on the weekend.

This is a good place to come with the kids, especially if you'd like to watch some sport as well. For more parks and ovals in the area head to the Marion City Council website.
