Plektra is a mandolin ensemble based in Sydney and on Sunday 11 October, the celebrated group will be performing several new works and a few favourites at the Glebe Justice Centre.

This special live music event will commence at the family-friendly time of 2pm. The exciting program will feature East-West, which was featured on ABC Classic FM recently, as well as other material written and arranged by Stephen Lalor.

Lalor trained in Kiev and his experience across several genres and styles of music is evident in the blend of European, Celtic and indigenous themes that characterise the group's sounds.

Plektra initially formed for concert appearances at the BDZ Eurofest in Germany in 2010. In addition to Australian concerts, they have performed in the USA and returned to Germany for Eurofest 2014. Their eponymous debut CD was released in 2012.

Come along to Plektra's next concert event this Spring!

Tickets are priced $20pp and can be purchased at the door.
