The flying fox, also known as a zip-line or zip-wire, has become a quintessential part of the Perth playground landscape. No longer is the flying fox a hidden treasure that you have to travel miles and miles to get to with the kids screaming in the back of the car – flying foxes are now dotted extensively around the city and beyond.
My children and I have discovered 12 playgrounds in Perth's southern suburbs alone that have a flying fox. If your kids love the feeling of zipping down the line with the wind in their hair, here are 12 playgrounds with flying foxes, including some with accessible, all abilities seats and features, in the south of Perth.
