Located in the middle of a quiet residential area in the suburb of Soldier Hill, many people don't know there is hidden play space in Mount Isa. Play equipment in this playground is suitable for big children, including a climbing frame, slides and swinging bridge.
The playground is situated in the middle of well maintained green lawn area. There is plenty of space to run around, play a backyard game or just to kick a ball. You will find the playground's equipment wet in the morning as there is a water sprinkler on alternate nights. Be careful of slippery play equipment - my little one found it amusing as she jumped in the puddles!
There is no fence around the playground and the play area is a bit far from the road. However, it is wise to keep an eye at all times. There is no designated parking area, but you can park your vehicle just on the side of the road. Please note there is no public toilet nearby.
There is one thing that caught my eyes, the unusual shape of rest or picnic area. This structure has an odd triangle shape. With some benches under the shade, you can have a rest and enjoy a picnic here.
