New Playgrounds for Carver's Reach
The Stage 3 release at Carver's Park (Park Ridge) has provided two new nature-themed playgrounds that are rapidly gaining popularity with local families. The main street of the estate now boasts four playgrounds, each complementing the surrounding natural environment.
Within the estate, 6 hectares have been allocated for parkland and regeneration of wildlife corridors. Developers have preserved remnant forest and continue to replant threatened tree species. Historic walking trails extend through the Stage 1 and 2 playgrounds, providing information about early settlement within the area.
The recent Stage 3 release offers two new nature-themed playgrounds that are rapidly gaining popularity with resident families and visitors. The first offers more traditional equipment, including a sand play forest hut with slides, forest bug see-saw, double bay swing set and flying fox.
The second is a wooden agility trail that requires climbing and balancing over various logs and nets. A sandy base and dinosaur fossil dig encourages sensory play at the ground level.
Facilities include two gazebos with picnic tables, street parking and a water fountain. Toilets can be accessed at the neighbouring playground directly across the road.
All four playgrounds within Carver's Reach are connected by a dedicated cycling circuit path that traverses throughout the estate.
