Playasaurus Place

Home > Brisbane > Fun for Children
Published October 12th 2010
It's a well known fact that children love dinosaurs. The Energex Playasaurus Place capitalises on this by providing a new play space at the Queensland Museum (corner Grey Street and Melbourne Streets, South Bank) that incorporates the well loved dinosaur displays with interactive learning activities.

There's loads of dino fun on offer here, with life sized replicas of dinosaurs to explore, a nest of dinosaur eggs to discover, a muttaburrasaurus to reconstruct and 95 million year old dinosaur footprints to be compared. Visitors can also learn about the dinosaurs plight with information displays and commentary to view.

As well as the endlessly fascinating world of dinosaurs, the Energex Playasaurus Place also focuses on energy, climate change and creating a sustainable future. Participants can trace the history of energy throughout the ages, from the time of dinosaurs to the advances of the industrial age through to present day.

The Playasaurus Place is open from 9.30am until 5.00pm daily. Entry is free.
