In the tradition of Urban Myth and Unley Youth Theatre, SAYarts runs after-school and school holiday theatre and creative workshops for the young to the young at heart.
From Monday 12th to Saturday 17th of January, 2015, SAYarts is hosting a great school holiday program entitled 'Play/Make/Do' for children aged between 8 to 15 years.
This fun and interactive program is led by award-winning actor and former Fairfax Festival Artistic Director Claire Glenn and much-loved drama teacher Anthony Kelly.
During the week-long course, children will work together and participate in a series of craft and theatre activities. They will be using books, pictures, toys and movies as inspiration and expressing themselves through performance, sculpture, painting, chalk art and masks.
At the conclusion of the program, on Saturday 17th of January at 11am, children will present a show and tell and enjoy a BBQ with their families.
The course will run from 10am to 3pm daily and children are encouraged to bring along their favourite book, lunch, drinks, snacks and wear comfy old clothes.
The classes will be held in groups of 15 participants only and younger children will be considered.
Early enrolment is essential - to make a booking, please visit TryBooking.
The all-inclusive course cost is $253.
