Take your dog on a day out to play
Some of us who have dogs love to have them interact with other dogs. For some people, this is not possible, as friends do not have dogs, or are busy, or do not want to have their dogs play with others! For this reason, an organised event of same breed dogs is an excellent idea.
I am a member of a whippet club on Facebook, and we regularly have people wanting to play with other like dogs, and that is one way to go. However, organised play dates are also an excellent idea and this list is for play dates for the month of July, 2018.
About the venues The Slate Cafe is at 12 Dulwich Street (corner of Marshall Road), Bennett Springs.
This Swan Valley cafe welcomes crossbreeds as well as siblings to join in on their play dates.
They have a large enclosed doggie playground and are one of the largest Perth dog-friendly cafes. There is also a spacious dog-friendly alfresco dining area and picnic area which you can enjoy with the whole family.
They also have "Woof Meow Tweet Squeak" treat truck, who have a wide range of healthy gourmet treats for your fur babies.
Yummy dog treats
They describe themselves as "a unique place where everyone is welcome" and this includes your dogs!
It is a cafe that is kid friendly, dog-friendly and family friendly. It is open Monday to Fridays from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
It is situated at 29/386 Wanneroo Road, Westminster and is a cafe that serves both human and dog foods. Of course, dogs are always welcome in this store. You can browse with your dog amongst the many "woofy" items they have in their showroom.
They also do "daycare", which is where you drop off your dog if you do not want to leave him or her behind while you are going out, or going to work. There is a large area where they can run and have fun with other dogs.
And if you are really "dog crazy", you can organise a birthday party for your pooch here! They are closed Tuesdays and open till 4.00 pm on other days.
Check out their websites if your breed of dog is not on this list, as they will announce more dog play days and different breeds of dogs also.
There is also a Facebook group you can join and find other like dogs to arrange a playdate.
