Free fun for kids and families
The annual Play Day on the Mall will be held again on Saturday 20th April, at Oxford St Mall in Bondi Junction and this year's event is sure to be bigger and better than ever. This event celebrates the value of children and the importance of play in our community.
This is a great event to bring the kids down for, and a wonderful way for the whole family to enjoy a day out with lots and lots of activities, most of which are FREE!
Come and let your kids pat and hold cute bunnies at the free rabbit farm; be amazed by Manik the Magician's magic show and dance along with a live Ballet Show. Other free events include Murphy's Puppets, Tracey's Baby and Lillia's Violin Ensemble.
And if all that hasn't worn them out, there is also lots of other fun stuff too, including face painting, craft activities and opportunities to meet Larry the Lifeguard, the St George Happy Dragon and Constable Charlie.
For those of us who like to do a bit of retail therapy, there will also be a specialist kids and babies market, where you can pick up something unique and local for your little ones.
And when your feet are tired, adults can stop for a coffee or a bite to eat at one of Oxford Street Mall's many shops, while the kids are entertained.
There is even free two hour parking available at Westfield Bondi Junction, or one hour free parking at Eastgate Car Park. Metered parking is also available on surrounding streets. Or why not ditch the car and use environmentally friendly public transport? There is access to Oxford Street Mall from the Bondi Junction bus-rail interchange.
So come down to the Mall and have some fun with your little ones.
