Play Area at The Mezz

Shop in peace
The Mezz is a local shopping centre situated on Scarborough Beach Road in Mount Hawthorn. Between the range of specialty shops, you will find a newly constructed play area to help make shopping with the kids a little easier.

The softfall base makes it squidgy to walk on and safe for the kids as they run, climb and play. If you have another adult with you, the small range of play equipment can be used to keep the kids occupied while you shop or if you're shopping by yourself, you can use it to reward the kids with after you have completed your shop.

For the little kids, there is small soft turtle that can be climbed upon and sat on and a small play house which doubles as a hotdog stand and ice cream stall. It was great watching the kids pretend to sell things to each other through the window. There is also a small see-saw for the kids to have a play on and the bigger kids have a climbing frame to climb onto.

For the parents, there are plenty of benches surrounding the play area to sit and have a rest and to keep an eye on their kids. We grabbed some lunch after our shopping trip and we sat on the benches in the sun to eat and then the kids happily played on the equipment.

It is a small playground but it is very rare to find one at a local shopping centre. Give this one a go if you live around the area.
