The hot topic on everyone's mind at present has been the ban on plastic bags, where Queensland and Western Australia are now coming in line with the ACT and South Australia and thereby taking ownership on what plastic bags have done to our environment.

The City of Adelaide Community Centres are coaching people to learn how to reduce the impact by holding workshops in making your own beeswax wraps, how to cook money-saving meals and how to become clean green.

From 5th to 26th July 2018, workshops will be held in the following topics

5th July – Fridge Forage Cooking Workshop ( Book Here ). This event will be held at The Box Factory Community Centre from 6.30 to 8.00pm.

7th July – Kids make your own Dreamcatcher from recycled materials to be held at the Hutt Street Library, ( Book Here )

14th July – Beeswax Wraps, Paper Mache & Toothpaste ( Book Here )

12th & 20th July - Bees Wax Wraps and Green Cleaning Workshop. These workshops are at different venues.

14th July - Crochet Market Bags Workshop at Hutt Street Library, Hutt Street. (Book at [email protected])

26th July - Fast Fashion Rag Rug Workshop from 6.30 to 8.00pm ( Book Here )

The cost of the workshops varies from $5.00 to $15.00 depending on the requirements and time allotted. When booking your workshop through the respective websites, you see where the events are being held. Not all workshops are at the same venue.
