I would presume by now everyone would want a plastic-free world as we can see the damage it is doing to our oceans, our marine life as well as not being able to break down easily in landfill. There is nothing worse than taking a leisurely walk along the beach and finding heaps of plastic waste that others have carelessly left for another to collect.

On Saturday 27th March 2020, the Waverly Council is hosting a Plastic Free Bronte Clean-up from 9.00am at Bronte Beach. This event is FREE, however, you must register through Eventbrite to attend.



Current statistics indicate that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish and that would be a tragic result. So, to do something to prevent that disaster from ever happening, please join the group at Bronte Beach for a mere three-hours, where you will meet like-minded people and perhaps new friends.

This is a child-friendly event, however, adults are to supervise their children at all times. For any extra information, please email Ale Torres at [email protected] or telephone 02 9083 8045.

If you are attending, please remember to observe the current NSW health orders and if you feel unwell, please stay home and get tested. Social distancing is 1.5 metres at all times, and you are encouraged to wear a mask. Organisers along with Lifeguards, Beach Ambassadors and Rangers will be present to guide and instruct you on the day. Do not forget a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water.

If the event is cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation evolving, you will be notified. Please meet at Bronte Park , Bronte NSW.
