Explore the power of plants and people in nurturing a healthier planet
You are invited to come along for a guided walk ...
Did you know or even realise that the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden Arts and Ecology Centre is a sustainably designed facility? Sustainable design is not just about better buildings … it’s about better gardens too.
With sustainable living and earth awareness in mind, you are invited to come along to the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden on 2025’s Earth Day, 22nd April, for a guided walk to explore the power of plants and people in nurturing a healthier planet.
... to explore the power of plants and people in nurturing a healthier planet
Not to be confused with Earth Hour (an annual event that encourages people to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change and usually held on the last Saturday of March, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm), Earth Day is a global event that takes place every year on the 22nd April.
Focused on environmental awareness and action,
Earth Day advocates for the health of the planet; for the air; oceans; soil; eco-systems; wildlife and human health. Earth Day encourages people to participate in activities that promote environmental protection, such as planting trees, cleaning up litter and learning more about environmental issues, with the ultimate goal: sustainable living and earth awareness.
Walkers will learn how to use local plants more effectively to create eco-friendly gardens
