Your plants are Aquilegia otherwise known as Granny bonnets. They are a beautiful old fashioned flowering perennial that loves the shade and grow really well in the cooler areas. There are many different pastel ish colors.

I like the name Granny's bonnets. They have died now in the QLD heat. I'd love to get more but maybe try them in pots and bring them inside in winter.
