The Plantation House Cafe looks inviting from the outside and the inside doesn't disappoint. Located in a heritage-listed building, it has a vintage country style. There's a mix of two indoor areas, plus pavement tables sheltered by blind style drop walls. The decor offers an old-world charm, with polished wooden floorboards and a relaxed ambience. The tables accommodate various group sizes and there are some high tables with stools near the food counter.
The sweet choice cabinet looked enticing and like it may take a little time to decide between the appetising selections on offer. I mean how do you choose between that carrot cake, the banoffee pie or the raspberry friand? Or do you opt for the raw vegan nutty slice….?
Thankfully our latest visit was for breakfast, so for me, the Bircher Muesli with fresh fruit was an easy choice. It surpassed expectation; see photo evidence of the delightful plated display, which arrived at my place setting. My daughters opted for a Hash Stack, declared fabulous and pancakes – delicious.
