Take a further step into the life and benefit of plants and the impact they have on our health and wellbeing. It may just influence what you plant in your garden. Greening experts and creative minds are getting together and giving you an evening of insights into the wonders of plants. Head to A Loft Story, 36 Lennox Street, Newtown on Monday 10 December 2018 from 6.30-8.30pm for Plant Tales & Cocktails. Secure yourself a spot for the evening, and get your tickets here.

Set amongst the foliage of the venue, learn how you can transform your spaces with stylish, plant-filled looks. Your ticket gets you a botanical cocktail on arrival, plus canapés and a green-thumbed goodie bag! Have a chat with the resident plant doctor and browse the in-house Christmas market for leafy gift ideas.

Resident plant doctor Jana Stewart will be offering advise on choosing plants that'll be happy in your space, and have leafy friends available for you to buy. Botanical illustrations are Chloe Joyce's forte and you'll find her fabulous prints, cards and pins on sale. Aussie bartender of the year (2016) Michael Chiem, co-founder of PS40 will be revealing some secrets about experimenting with botanicals, and what natural, local, native ingredients they're loving this season.

Get potty with Rachel Farag who will be talking all things clay and handing out stories about how her connection with nature inspires her work of planters, tableware and jewellery. The Edward Scissorhands of Newtown, Jane Wei knows her way around scissors and secateurs. The director of A Loft Story will talk you through her decision to green out on plants and what benefits have been seen on her employees and clients.

Keep up with the updates on Facebook and enjoy snippets of obsessions with all things green.
