Plant Science for Beginners, held on Wednesday 23 January 2019 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at Adelaide Botanic Garden, is a good course to start the journey to become botanically literate.

In this course, you will learn about the basic plant components, including roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits, and understand the fundamental chemistry behind how plants function. Relationships between form and function, environment and evolution will be also be covered during the session.

This course is part of a series of short sessions organised by Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of South Australia. The courses are designed for people new to gardening and people who would like to expand their horticulture knowledge. The 2019 Short Course Series gives you an opportunity to get a solid foundation of good gardening practices.
