Tofu, tempeh and nuts masterclass
Do you follow a vegan diet? Do you prefer to make your own food from scratch? Would you like to reduce your packaged food consumption? Perhaps you'd like to learn a new way of cooking using natural ingredients? Green Renters will be hosting a full day cooking class that might just tickle your taste buds.

Cate Lawrence will be teaching a Plant Based Cooking Masterclass in which she will be demonstrating how to make your own tofu and tempeh from scratch as well as a range of vegan cheeses, milks and plant based delights.

Cate became interested in vegan and healthy eating a few years ago when she completed a 30 day vegan challenge. She struggled with a lot of the realities of vegan cooking in the mainstream sense: lots of soy, expensive overly packaged food and imported foods. Now Cate is capable of making her own vegan food from scratch and she will be sharing her knowledge in a class that focuses on exploring the many health benefits of vegan cooking and plant based diets.

The Plant Based Cooking Masterclass class will be held at LG Kitchen, South Melborune Market on February 9 from 11am - 4pm, and will include a tasty gourmet morning tea and lunch will be served including a range of cooked and raw dishes, homemade cordials and vegan wine.

Green Renters is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers sustainability workshops, events and projects providing eco advice specifically for those living in rental accommodation. Other class topics include making your own skin care products, natural cleaning, home-brewing, jams and pickling. For more details go to: greenrenters.org/workshops
