Part of the Bowden Park apartment complex, the Plant 4 Bowden Market offers a good range of eateries on its ground floor. Apart from permanent stores along the sides, the market also hosts stallholders serving ethnic foods in the central area on market days.
Specialising in Asian food, Beiman is notable for offering noodles and dumplings that are handmade, giving them a flavour that is a bit different from similar dishes offered at other restaurants. The noodles in their Noodle Salad were cooked to al dente and the dumplings accompanying them were juicy with skins that were not too thick. To best enjoy this dish, mix the noodles with the peanut dressing thoroughly to spread its nutty flavour throughout the dish. We were also able to have Tapioca Chicken included in our dish. The chicken had a crisp coating which set off the tender flesh wonderfully. Beiman is only at the complex on market days.

One of the permanent food outlets, Voula's offers a wide range of Greek dishes and pastries. We opted for their Mezze Plate, which allows you to choose up to four dishes from their smorgasbord. We chose Roast Pork, Tomato Chicken, Eggplant and Mushroom Bake, and Rosemary Potatoes. The flesh of the pork and chicken were succulent, with the tomato sauce bringing out the chicken's flavour. The Eggplant and Mushroom Bake had a delectable earthy flavour. The potatoes were cooked to perfection with a good quantity of rosemary to bring out their flavour.

For dessert, we went with Peanut Butter Brownie and Rose Calzone from Shimi Parwana, a store that serves up Afghan dishes and various pastries. The pastry shell of the Rose Calzone was crispy and the filling had a delicate rosewater flavour. The Peanut Butter Brownie was also very delicious, with a texture typical of brownies. The peanut butter swirled within it complemented its rich chocolatey taste nicely.

The atmosphere of the market is very causal with a good number of seating options. Parking is of little concern with lots of parking spaces located close to the market.
