Adults Only Planetarium Experience

On Friday nights, Scienceworks reopens its doors in the evenings to run their series of films after hours for adults. After a hard week's work, head to the Planetarium and sink into a recliner chair with a drink from the bar and escape into a world of astronomy. You can kick back and watch one of the four movies projected onto the ceiling of a 16 metre high dome, without hoards of school kids talking in the back row or kicking the back of your chair.

There are two screenings a night covering movies from space exploration narrated by Top Gear's James May, to artistic music shows incorporating light and sound. If you are interested in learning more about astronomy, a presenter runs a tour of the night sky at the 7:30pm session. For fans of art, the 9:00pm session will tantalise your senses. For details of movies on offer click here.

Explore the universe and explore a different way to spend your Friday nights at Scienceworks.
