Planet Trivia's Pete Chapman is the friendly host and inquisitor. There is no cost, sign up process or suggested team size and the only rule is no mobile phones. Pete goes to each table handing out pens, picture tasks and answer sheets. The evening usually begins with a pictorial task such as naming iconic buildings, flags or sporting trophies. The first team up to have all answers correct wins a prize.

This task serves as an icebreaker and warmup to the main event. The quiz is two rounds of questions interspersed with on the spot shout outs for Keno ticket prizes. The questions are sourced from a wide range of categories and include riddles, sports, movie themes and music. It is frustrating in a fun way to hear a few bars of a familiar tune and not be able to name the artist or song.
At the end of the first round you swap answer sheets with an adjacent team for marking. This usually leads to a few laughs and a lot of ah ha moments. After a quick round of Heads and Tails round two begins. At the culmination of the evening scores are tallied and winners announced. There are cash prizes of $100, $75, $50 (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and consolation prize of $50 for a randomly placed team (not last though) as that is too easy to rig. There are also larger jackpot prizes at the end of each month and after 10 weeks.
