Explore Brisbane for free
Have you ever done a walking tour around Brisbane? Why not set out with family members or friends to wander around the city and see what is available to explore for free? There's a lot of history, and many photo opportunities if that is what you like to do. There are many places to visit for free - here are just some of them.

You could sit down with a map and plan your expedition - in fact, there are so many places to visit that you will probably need to do several expeditions! Of course, it is a good idea to do this during the weekend, as there are far fewer people in the city area!

Brisbane City Hall

There is plenty to see and do at the City Hall - from free tours of the hall at 10.30 am,11.30 am and 1.30 pm, and other tours in the building, but you need to book. Phone 07 3339 0845 or book online. You can also book the free Clock Tower Tour and visit the Brisbane Museum - all in the City Hall Building.

There is so much to see in this building that it could take all day!

Brisbane Metro

At 63 Adelaide Street, opposite the City Hall is a wonderful display about the Brisbane Metro - the new way to travel around Brisbane that is still a work in progress. The display at this venue is very interesting and well worth a visit. Check here.

Anzac Square and Memorial Galleries

A short distance from the Central Railway Station (at 285 Ann Street) is Anzac Square, with so much to learn about The Memorial Galleries are closed on Saturdays and public holidays but opening hours on other days are 10 am to 4 pm. Always a good idea to check the opening hours before you attend. Check here. There is so much to see and learn about Australia's war history - so many wonderful stories and images.
