If you live in the Geelong or Bellarine region and are looking for a 'real' Christmas tree this year, there are plenty of options to find the perfect tree, without having to travel into Melbourne or regional Victoria.

Some of the local options include:

Greater Geelong Christmas Trees - Waurn Ponds
Ocean Grove Scouts - Ocean Grove
Kings Christmas Trees - Drysdale
Christmas Trees Geelong - North Geelong.
Oxfam Shop (Delivery available within Geelong & Bellarine region)

Here's a run-down of what they all offer:

Greater Geelong Christmas Trees
Website: www.greatergeelongchristmastrees.com.au

Stands available for purchase from $30

Located in the Geelong suburb of Waurn Ponds, Greater Geelong Christmas Trees offer a wide variety of different-sized trees, starting from $30. Stands are also available in two sizes (small stands are $30, and large stands are $40).

Another good thing about purchasing your tree from here is that for every tree sold, a $3 donation is made to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

Trees will be available to pick up from the 26th of November, 2016.

The Ocean Grove Scouts are having their annual Christmas Tree sale on Saturday the 3rd and Saturday the 10th of December 2016, at Ocean Grove Park. Trees start from $55 and if you are unable to fit the tree in your car, they offer a home-delivery service for a small fee.

This is where I purchased my tree from last year, and I was very happy with the range of trees and the service. Stands are also available for purchase ($25 for a medium, $35 for a large).

A tree-removal service is also available for $10. I found this service very convenient, as it's arranged online, so all I had to do was leave the tree out the front to be collected.

If you'd like to order your tree early to make sure you don't miss out, visit the Ocean Grove Scouts website at www.oceangrovescouts.com/christmas-tree-order-page

Kings has gone up to $40. Still a great price compared to what we paid to cut down a tree in Melbourne!
