Where's the Best Place to Meet a Man in Sydney

On the weekend I attended a speed dating event.

I won't bore you with too many details (my girlfriends have already suffered enough). But here are a few who ranked highly as 'thanks but no thanks'.

One guy actually sat down and without a 'hello' decided he was going to read my palm. I'm actually quite the sceptic so I'm guessing his prediction abilities were quite poor when he revealed "and later, when you meet my mother...". Errrr. Needless to say, I will not be meeting his mother.

Another guy delved straight into a discussion about where to find the cheapest booze in Sydney. My guess was Dan Murphy's. But alas, no - it's Costco. We spent the remaining time chatting about the difference between a cheese knife and a regular knife (he was stoked with his recent cheese knife purchase). We won't be dating but I will be going out later today to buy a new cheese knife.

Lucky last was incredibly nervous. I decided to ask him what had he been up to that day (open ended question, nice and easy). He replied by telling me he had sat at home all day waiting to attend the speed dating event. Eeck!

I wish this article were fiction. But I figure - one woman's gremlin is another woman's gem.
