Just in this strip of shops in Ivanhoe's Upper Heidelberg Road, you will find at least 3 other pizzerias. That night we decided to try Pizzami and we were not disappointed!

After devouring a large vegetarian pizza between the two of us, we had ordered the crispy crunchy polenta chips! Deep-fried and cooked till golden brown. Then lightly salted and served with mayo on the side, just as delicious as the polenta my parents used to make. It's a Northern Italian dish which makes me slightly nostalgic!

Greeted by owner Antonio and his wife Gloria, they made us feel right at home! He was happy to share his story about coming to Australia and how he started a few other pizza restaurants, in particular, Woodfire Pizza, which is now located only meters away. His passionate and friendly nature made our Friday night dining experience quite memorable. Pizzami has been operating for 7 years now! It's a wonder we hadn't explored it sooner!

There is an enclosed courtyard out the back of the restaurant with a nice casual vibe. The food is flavoursome and delicious. We will be back soon! Open till at least 10pm, this is a great place to hang ou and exchange stories.
