Pizza Oskian is in Rue St Honoré and is located close to the Louvre Museum in Place Vendôme in Paris. It is in a central, very handy location among other restaurants, cafes, bars, and other eating places in Paris' first arrondissement.
There are a reported ten thousand plus restaurants in Paris. Pizza Oskian ranks in the four thousand and five hundredth position according to a Trip Advisor ranking. It doesn't sound all that exciting, but consider what kind of places this small player is ranked against, and in Paris to boot.
It was packed with French diners; couples, families with kids, groups, and lone patrons. A newly-arrived person was shown to a table that had just been vacated. It was that kind of busy. Pizza Oskian is not a big restaurant, but it has a cosy, comfortable feel to it.
The diners looked like they were enjoying the food and for good reason. We had spaghetti and pizza with a carafe of Beaujolais and a beer. The food was very good and it was distinctly Italian. The staff spoke French and some English to patrons and Italian among themselves. That, I presumed, was why the food was good Italian.
