This is a wonderful little place in Adelaide's busy lunch district in Pirie Street.

Pizza e Mozzarella Bar possesses an authenticity that others find hard to create. It begins with the enormous wood fired pizza oven in the front of house, where one can sit at a bench with a glass of pinot and watch the hand-flipped pizzas being made by local artisans.

The lively bustle of the staff in creating and presenting the wonderfully rustic pizzas and delicious mozzarella plates to the table is captivating to watch.

The service is attentive and disarmingly personal. The pizzas are delightfully rustic and generous in serving, and the mozzarella plates offer a delicious pizza alternative.

With an interesting selection of wines from regions that include Burgundy, Provence, Rioja, Carneros, Central Otago, Tasmania and our own South Australia wines, this lunch place is hard to beat.

Now open on Friday nights too.
