When a friend suggested a wine and painting evening with friends I knew I was in for a fun night. Now, I am not a painter (writing is what I am passionate about) but I decided to step out of my creativity comfort zone and give painting a go. I had no expectations and to be honest I was unsure if I'd be up to the task of producing anything by the end of the night. I was a little nervous but I shouldn't have been.

Pizazz and Shiraz Evening
What a fantastic night! Tania hosted the evening and her warm personality made us all feel at ease. All of the art supplies were provided and her simple step by step instructions made the blank canvas in front of me feel less daunting. As the night went on I got more confident (and I promise it wasn't the wine as I was the designated driver), no, it was the relaxed, comfortable environment that Tania provided. She was there to help us individually, give encouragement and suggest ideas. Everyone was buzzing with the excitement about what they were able to achieve and at the end of the night we all went home with a piece of art and feeling like a 'real' artist.

We all went home with our masterpieces.
This deluxe social painting evening cost $60 and all art supplies and nibbles were provided. All we had to do was supply the wine or whatever beverage took our fancy and at the end of the session we got to take our masterpiece home with us. If there is a group of between 10 – 20 of you then the cost is $55.

Uncork Your Creativity
When I woke up the next morning all I wanted to do was paint. So if you are looking for something different to do on a Friday evening I can't recommend these 'Pizazz and Shiraz' sessions enough. I know I will definitely be going again soon.
